Delete your Peen account

You can delete your Peen account and the personal data tied to it at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Delete in the Peen app (recommended)

You must be signed in (not browsing as a guest). Guest mode does not create an account to delete.

Android

  1. Open Peen and sign in with Google.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Tap Settings (gear icon).
  4. Scroll to Delete Account.
  5. Read the warning, type DELETE, and confirm.

iOS

  1. Open Peen and sign in (Google or Sign in with Apple).
  2. Go to Profile → Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm when prompted.

After confirmation, your account is removed from Peen immediately. You will be signed out on that device.

Cannot access the app?

Email us from the address linked to your Peen account (the email on your Google or Apple sign-in):

Include enough detail for us to verify ownership (for example, your Peen username or the email you use to sign in). We will process verified requests within 30 days.

Data that is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove personal data associated with your account, including:

  • Profile, display name, username, and sign-in access
  • Climb logs, sends, likes, and comments
  • Followers, following, and achievements
  • Seasonal challenge progress and related records
  • Community posts, feedback board posts, and event memberships
  • Routes and projects you created under your account
  • Notification preferences stored for your account

Data that may be kept

  • Information we must retain for legal, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes, only for as long as required by applicable law.
  • Anonymous or aggregated data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
  • Short-lived server or security logs that may still contain your user ID or IP address until they rotate out (typically within 90 days).

Retention period

We keep account data while your account is active. After you delete your account, personal data is removed from our production systems without undue delay. Backup copies may take up to 90 days to clear.
